An early farewell.

I would have never thought i would come to have such a strong connection to a building, nonetheless a school building. Central Park School is this place. The “A place to belong” posters strung around the hallways always seemed cheesy to me, but now i realize it really is a place to belong. Next year i will be moving on to Bremen High School and, suprise, i am going to graduate away from elementary school in one quarter of a school year. That also means leaving behind 10 years at the miraculous school central park (If you include pre-k) and i bet some of the staff has had some, umm, interesting moments involving temper with me in the years past, but the way the school responded to my issues really shaped who I am. I have some of the best moments of my life just at this school. Heck, i still remember being pumped to go into 1st grade and see the other side of the school for a change of scenery. Before i get too carried away just know, that it has been my honor to stay in Central Park school all the years i possibly could and i wouldn’t choose any other school over CP, but now i am on my last moments at this school and i hope to have even more perfect memories at the school awaiting for me, Bremen High School.

An early farewell.

B-B-B-B-B-BONFIRE

Glowsticks and fire is basically all you need to have friday night summed up for me. The first day of spring, so my parents jump at the chance to have a bonfire to somewhat celebrate? Anyway, we had some of her friends come over and it all went downhill. We had glowsticks that you wear for a necklace. My moms friends kids and I used the rope for anything but necklace. All you need to know, is flying glowsticks. You can fill in the holes for that one. Luckily no fire incidents, surprisingly.

Guitar Center

So i went to guitar center for the first time and i was astonished at their humongous selection of music gear. The title would have you think that it only sells guitars but it sells way more than that. Basically, if you have even had a sliver of thought for learning an instrument, go to guitar center and pick up an instrument and try to learn by asking for lessons. They don’t pull any shenanigans and try to give you the best deals possible. Guitar center is essentially a paradise of a store.

Farm & Fleet

Speaking of firsts, i also went to another store for the first time this weekend. The Farm & Fleet. I was genuinely surprised that it wasn’t just some random country store that mainly appeals to more of a country lifestyle. It had almost anything you can think of, from toys to electronics to lawn mowers. This place was bizzare. It was basically a cooler walmart and i loved it. I didn’t actually get anything, but boy oh boy did i want everything i saw. If you couldn’t tell, i have been through alot this weekend, hence why my SOL’s are so darn late. So thats my excuse or something.

Parade

Earlier today I went to the St. Patricks parade in Tinley. I got left out on alot of the candy because I was the oldest in the group i was with but i still enjoyed it very much. The people were nice and the kids were cool and it was just such a positive place to be. It was very fun to say the least. I even got a temporary tatoo of the “Two Men In A Truck” logo that went well on my guitar and then I went to trade with my younger sister, Cindy. It was a very fun experience and I cannot wait for the next big parade that comes.

Bowling

So i didn’t post yesterday, but i have a perfectly good reason (yes the will be 2 posts in 1 day). So my family and i went to my moms friends house and we kinda wasted all day and it was really boring all day. Night approaches and then we start to go bowling because somebody brought it up. We hesitated but went anyway, then we found out that it was blacklight bowling and we could bowl until midnight. Eventually we got so tired that we were throwing gutterballs left & right but my moms friends kids wanted to keep bowling so we couldn’t just leave. i eventually got to sleep at around 1:30 because that was the time we actually got home and all that. I have never been so tired of bowling in my life

The hero of the guitar

Guitar hero is by far my favorite video game of all time. For 5 years I have played it, so I am really good to a certain extent and I still play it along with my real guitar frequently, but there is one thing that I did yesterday that I never though I would do. I beat guitar hero 3 on expert. Now this wouldn’t be a big deal if this want a notoriously hard installment to the series. I genuinely never even came close to beating it on expert in all of those years, but yesterday I did it. Nothing made me happier than beating it on the hardest level difficulty after all these years. It may sound cheesy but it really is a big deal for me…

Time to move away

When i was 10 I introduced my sister to what was, at the time, a beautiful place for children to build and interact with other kids who are willing to start up a conversation. As i had already played it for a few years, i figured i’d show her it. This beautiful mess was called “Roblox” and you had all the freedom to do whatever you want (as long as you keep it child appropriate) so i was surprised to see my little sister enjoyed it as much as i did because she was not at all good with social interactions and her interests for computer gaming were at a low peak. Needless to say she loves it to this day and still plays it on a regular basis, I am also guilty of starting to play it every once in a while, but there’s one catch. You see, i took a long break from Roblox. A LONG break.  About two years. All thanks to a computer break. So i was surprised to see my old account still worked and was not banned for inactivity. So being me i decided to play quite a bit and i actually made some pretty cool creations, but that was boring and i was all alone in my world because my friends have moved on. So i join a popular game “Sword Fights On The Heights” to see what the new “Generation” you could call it, and the antics they were up too. The game finally loaded and i was stunned to see the chat logs: “F!@# YUUuUuU” or “OMG THIS IZ SU HARD” is mainly what you would read, not at all what i was expecting. I wanted to see “Aww man so close!” or “Hello.” or at least a sentence that used a hint of proper grammar. My sister has no problems with them, she just plays with her friends who she made ages ago and barely bothers the mainstream games. I guess i have to deal with the fact that my favorite game ever went from ‘Funny’ chaotic to disturbing chaotic in 2 years. I can see why all my friends have moved on.

Guitars guitars guitars, and did I mention guitars?

quite a few times I have tried and failed to learn guitar. So I just have this guitar sitting in my room, serving no purpose. A few months ago I was very bored and I decided to look in the midst of my video game collection. Rock smith, the video game guitar tutor was the first thing that caught my eye. So I plugged in my guitar and started up the game. I eventually got hooked and played many many songs. I was learning very fast and since it was a game I had no idea. I eventually got so good that I learned a few advanced songs and rid of the bad simple baby songs. Now I can’t even put the guitar down whenever I practice and since the game learns my learning pattern, there is nearly no times when I practice and get nowhere. It truly is one of my favorite 2015 accomplishments…

Be the person.

True disappointment happens all the time. True disappointment is basically major wreckage to all your happy brain cells for the moment. Whether its a breakup, a broken item, or Pandora playing Justin Beiber when you run out of skips. We have all had gone through true disappointment. It is inevitable and we should never expect it not to happen. To the contrary however, you can always cheer yourself up someway somehow. You always can turn your frown upside down, and if you can’t, then be aware that it will all go away sooner or later with the help of one another.

If you are happy to start with, spread the joy! Don’t hog it all. Be the person who is known as optimistic. Be the person to fix the broken things. Be the person who is helpful. Be the person to tell them that it’s okay.

Be the hero to their day…
